I have visited numerous renowned foreign universities and prestigious primary and secondary schools, while also conducting in-depth analysis of the successful educational practices at China's top-tier universities and outstanding schools. What struck me most was their advanced educational philosophies and innovative approaches to teaching and learning.

As a young private school, it can boldly experiment with innovative approaches under the new high-quality background due to institutional advantages to meet the majority of the public's demand for quality education. The educational mission is to fully implement the national educational policies; comprehensively carry out General Secretary Xi's important instructions on "taking root in China, integrating domestic and international resources, standing firm in the times, and looking toward the future"; fully implement General Secretary Xi's important discourse on "lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets," striving to optimize the campus ecological environment so that all students can enjoy the most beautiful learning and living experiences in a comfortable setting.


办学规模 Educational Scale

未来科技学校属新加坡未来科技教育集团旗下的一所十二年一贯制学校,其中包括小学学部、初中学部和高中学部。可容纳学生两千余名,新加坡未来科技教育集团旗下还有浦东菲索幼儿园和嘉禾幼儿园,以及新加坡爱丁堡大学。

FAST is a 12-year integrated school under the Singapore Future Technology Education Group, comprising primary, secondary, and senior high school divisions. It has a capacity of over 2,000 students. The group also operates Pudong Fastkids Kindergarten and Jiahe Kindergarten, as well as the University of Edinburgh Singapore.

倪中华为了更好地贯彻中国改革开放总设计师邓小平同志提出的“计算机要从娃娃抓起”理念,以及“面向现代化、面向世界、面向未来”的教育“三个面向”方针。学校的十六字办学理念为:中国文化、世界眼光、科技见长、人文情怀。通过贯彻国家课程,重点突出数理化学科与英语教学,开展形式多元的项目活动。有机渗透传统文化精髓从而深植中国文化根基;立足语言技能,汲取海外文化,培养世界眼光;项目化学习有助于培育科学素养,奠定科技见长;融汇古今中外,追求美好生活,崇尚人文情怀。

Parent A: Principal Ni, how can we effectively implement the school's educational philosophy in teaching activity?

Ni Zhonghua: To better implement the concept of "computer education should start from childhood" proposed by Comrade Deng Xiaoping, the chief architect of China's reform and opening-up, as well as the educational "three orientations" policy of "facing modernization, facing the world, and facing the future," the school's educational philosophy is: China culture, global vision, strong in STEAM, and humanistic sentiment. By implementing national curricula, we emphasize mathematics, physics, chemistry, and English teaching, while conducting diverse project-based activities. We organically integrate the essence of traditional culture to deeply root China's cultural foundation; focus on language skills while absorbing overseas cultures to cultivate a global outlook; project-based learning helps foster scientific literacy and lay the groundwork for technological excellence; and integrate ancient and modern, domestic and international elements to pursue a better life and uphold humanistic sentiment.

Parent: Principal Ni, private schools are currently facing intense market competition. What advantages can the school offer to attract students to choose Future Science and Technology School?

Ni Zhonghua: I believe that if schools implement the following strategies in their educational practices, more families will choose our institution and more children will come to enjoy quality education. First, we adopt a scientifically advanced curriculum framework: integrating three core components aligned with our educational philosophy national core curriculum, interdisciplinary extension courses, and mentorship programs. With the national curriculum as the foundation, we emphasize the importance of English, mathematics, and science subjects. Bilingual integrated teaching is implemented in STEM disciplines, arts, and physical education, gradually transitioning to full English instruction in certain subjects. Hands-on experimental courses like physics and chemistry are designed to enhance students 'international learning adaptability. Ni Zhonghua: Project-Based Learning Our school possesses unique advantages, collaborating closely with High Tech Higha top-tier innovative institution in the United Statesto implement interdisciplinary Project-Based Learning (PBL). By leveraging local resources and adapting to regional characteristics, we fully utilize our faculty's expertise while engaging industry leadersincluding university professors, scholars, national-level coaches, calligraphy masters, veteran musicians, skilled artisans, financial experts, and renowned entrepreneursto guide students in project-based activities such as vocal training, calligraphy practice, tennis, football, and handball. This approach fosters personalized development, and I firmly believe that with dedicated effort, the outcomes of project-based learning will undoubtedly succeed.

家长:各行各业对评价越来越重视,作为家长也很想看到老师对我们孩子及时和比较直观的评价,以便我们对孩子在校有个全面的了解。学校的评价很有特色也很细致,这方面学校是如何设想的?

倪中华科学、多元的评价方式激发学生的学习动力。依据学校的课程、学科、学生个体需求,我校的评价体系注重过程、注重激励、评价手段丰富。通过语言描述、雷达图、折线图等量化图表形象呈现学生不同学科不同素养的成长轨迹。实行每月评价+学期综合评价体现过程和结果,对阶段性成效及时奖励和表彰。由激励性评价促进学生形成良好的学习习惯、学习态度、顽强的学习意志,成就真正意义上的素质教育。

As parents, we also desire to receive timely and intuitive feedback from teachers regarding our children, enabling us to gain a comprehensive understanding of their academic performance. The school's evaluation system is notably distinctive and meticulous. How does the school conceptualize this approach?

Ni Zhonghua: Scientific and diversified evaluation methods stimulate students 'learning motivation. Tailored to the school's curriculum, academic disciplines, and individual student needs, our evaluation system emphasizes process-oriented approaches, motivational strategies, and diverse assessment tools. Through visual quantification using language descriptions, radar charts, and line graphs, we vividly demonstrate students 'developmental trajectories across different subjects and competencies. The combination of monthly evaluations and semester-wide comprehensive assessments reflects both progress and outcomes, with timely rewards and recognition for interim achievements. Its core teaching team comprises district-level or higher backbone teachers and members of subject-specific expert groups, with 42% holding master's degrees or higher. Among them, 30% have overseas study or work experience, while over 90% possess more than five years of teaching experience. Foreign ESL instructors all have at least five years of teaching experience across various Chinese schools, demonstrating strong accountability, native-level English fluency, and genuine passion for language education. All external faculty members are top-tier professionals in their respective fields. Parent: In recent years, my child has become more active and outgoing. Is there any secret behind this?

Ni Zhonghua: Undoubtedly, a key factor lies in schools 'commitment to fostering harmonious teacher-student relationshipsa scenario parents universally desire. In such environments, educators patiently guide students, parents hold their children's hands, teachers embrace students warmly, educators listen attentively while crouching down, and educators demonstrate maternal tenderness through loving gazes. 家长:走进学校如同走进充满科幻感和时代感的未来学校,作为学校设计者,倪校长,您是怎么想的?

倪中华我把几十年对教育的理解、对建筑的审美、对未来世界发展趋势的预判,把我的教育理想都倾注到校园建筑设计之中。因此出现在我们眼前的是一座集现代与科幻、东方与西方、刚强与柔和、建筑与园林的完美融合。我们的校园颠覆了对学校的固定认知,不断变换的学习场景打破了传统课堂的壁垒,为学生打造了和智慧一起健康幸福成长的极佳学习环境。  

Parents: Walking into the school feels like stepping into a futuristic campus brimming with sci-fi elements and contemporary vibes. As the school's designer, Principal Ni, what are your thoughts on this?

Ni Zhonghua: Drawing on decades of insights into education, architectural aesthetics, and predictions about future trends, I have infused my educational ideals into campus architecture design. The result is a harmonious fusion of modernity and sci-fi elements, Eastern and Western influences, strength and gentleness, as well as architecture and landscaping. Our campus challenges conventional perceptions of schooling, with dynamic learning environments that break down traditional classroom barriers, creating an exceptional learning space where students thrive healthily and joyfully alongside technological intelligence.


校园生活 School Life

家长:我们很多家长可能都没有机会进入校园一起体验学生的学习与生活,对此倪校长能稍作介绍吗?

倪中华让学生身心健康和智慧一起幸福成长是办学的初心,孩子一天或一周的校园学习与生活是经过精心设计的。充足的户外户内运动时间;网球、篮球、手球、足球、书法、超级黏土等项目;轻松奔放的课间操;丰富的课间休息方式,确保学生在校运动两小时,突出学生身心健康第一的要求。加强阅读、益智类棋艺、名家诗书画赏析等;激发学生提高学习动力,也提高了学习效率。动静结合、智力与体力交错、场景变换,极大地调节学生身心及学习状态。用心配置正餐与课间点心的品种和营养,色香味、优质食材的全面细致考量,是孩子茁壮成长的沃土,也是教育工作者的匠心和情怀。

Parents: Many of us parents may not have the opportunity to visit schools and experience students' learning and daily lives firsthand. Could Principal Ni provide some insights on this matter?

Ni Zhonghua: Ensuring students 'holistic development of physical health, mental well-being, and intellectual growth remains the fundamental mission of our educational institution. Our meticulously designed daily and weekly campus curriculum includes ample outdoor and indoor exercise opportunities, diverse activities such as tennis, basketball, handball, soccer, calligraphy, and super clay modeling, along with dynamic recess routines and varied break schedules. These measures guarantee two hours of physical activity per day, prioritizing students' comprehensive wellness. We enhance learning engagement through reading programs, strategic chess training, and appreciation of classical poetry, calligraphy, and paintings by renowned masters, effectively boosting academic motivation and efficiency. By balancing structured activities with dynamic breaks, integrating cognitive challenges with physical exercises, and creating adaptable learning environments, we optimize students 'mental and physical states. The thoughtful selection of nutritious meals and snacksmeticulously curated for color, aroma, flavor, and premium ingredientscreates fertile ground for children's healthy development while reflecting educators' dedication and artistic vision.

家长:倪校长,请问近年来学校的教育教学质量如何?

倪中华教育教学质量是衡量办优质学校的重要指标,是学校的生命,学校从办学至今始终围绕如何通过课程优化、课程执行、课内外教学活动追求合理性、科学性、适切性、有效性、发展性。

    ①德育教育:学校始终把培养什么样的人作为育人的首要任务。以德树人,围绕“中国文化,世界眼光,科技见长,人文情怀”十六字办学理念确定我们的育人目标,构建了学校德育教育框架并以完整课程化予以实施。

    ②心理教育:身心健康是人生最大的财富。学校高度重视心理健康教育,从专职师资的配备到心理健康课程进课堂,建立起了以心理健康教师到班主任和全体任课教师全方位导师关心学生的心理健康辅导立体网络,有效保证了我们学生心理的健康。

    ③体质素养:学生的身体健康是一所优质学校工作的重要关注点。我校每年春秋两次校园运动会雷打不动,周课程确保“三课两操两活动”,响应“一天活动二小时,幸福生活一辈子”初心使命。

Parent: Principal Ni, how has the educational quality of our school improved in recent years?

Ni Zhonghua: The quality of education and teaching is a crucial indicator for evaluating the operation of high-quality schools, serving as the lifeblood of an institution. Since its establishment, the school has consistently focused on optimizing curricula, implementing teaching practices, and ensuring the rationality, scientific rigor, appropriateness, effectiveness, and developmental potential of both in-class and extracurricular educational activities.

Moral Education: The school always regards the cultivation of what kind of people as the primary task of education. Guided by the sixteen-character educational philosophy of "China culture, global vision, technological excellence, and humanistic sentiment," we have established our educational objectives, constructed a framework for moral education, and implemented it through comprehensive curriculum design.

Psychological Education: Physical and mental health constitute the greatest wealth in life. The school places high emphasis on mental health education, ranging from the allocation of full-time faculty to the integration of mental health courses into classrooms. A comprehensive mentorship network has been established, involving mental health teachers, homeroom teachers, and all subject teachers, providing holistic psychological counseling support for students, thereby effectively ensuring the mental well-being of our students.

Physical Fitness Literacy: Students' physical health is a critical focus in the operations of a high-quality school. Our students have won numerous awards in various national competitions across different grade levels, including gold and silver medals in national robotics combat and drone operation competitions. Other notable achievements include winning the Internet of Things Technology Innovation Competition and Robotics Combat Championship.

Holistic Development: In recent years, through the school's curriculum implementation, students have received comprehensive cultivation in moral, intellectual, physical, aesthetic, and labor education.
